An ultra short story

Jul 01, 2008 00:06

Vaguely inspired by Alfred Bester's The Men Who Murdered Mohammed (and to a lesser extent Norman Spinrad's Carcinoma Angels, I guess) and written pretty much on the fly in about half an hour.

Silly. Doctor Who. Biased. )

doctor who, silly

Thank you. I needed cheering up this morning (got an expected grap day at work ahead). :-)

Excellent - it was so hard not to skip ahead to the pay-off last line!

Embarassing confession no. 136689 - I like ELO; up to the horror that was Xanadu...

It's not so much ELO as the whole fundamental underlying concept of The Mid Seventies ;)

I know what you're saying - but if you did away with them we wouldn't have Punk. And I wouldn't have a husband!

Bravo sir.

I used to watch Selwyn Froggitt with my Grandad, it was 'magic' when you
are very young and don't know any better.

It still is. But "Selwyn" is not. Oh no, it is definitely not. Taking him away from the Scarsdale & District WMC (I'm so tempted to say WMC-Blob 59 there...) and sending him to be ents manager at a holiday camp was Wrong.

(Rule of thumb: Sitcoms about holiday camps are Wrong).
