One would've thought he could've given Doctor Donna a quick roll in the hay with Captain Jack - I think that would've blown all of Jack's fuses and a fair few of Doctor Donna's ;)

I'm sure the crack!fic's a-coming. They've done worse with less to work from.

Why bother writing fic? RTD has already done the worst that can be done - there's nothing to subvert.

I hope this draws the final line under the whole Doctor/Rose arc, and the show can move on. There have been places of Much Wrongness along the way, but if the whole arc was planned, it was planned pretty audaciously.

Of course, there's one gaping huge plot hole been left there by RTD. Jenny, although a mix of Timelord and human DNA, was able to regenerate or at least reanimate. Blue Mortal Doc... maybe he's not going to die?

I thought Jenny was just Time Lord DNA? She had two hearts, as well.

Blue Doctor has to die (eventually) because "one must die". Plus hopefully, as you say, this closes the Rose arc.
