Mmm, duck. A good Peking duck anywhere stateside runs about $20 easily. Did they serve it with Chinese bread? You can kind of cheat and make a sandwich with that to avoid using chopsticks

Yeah, America is definitely (overall and in general but with many generous exceptions...you included :-)) a generation of wasters. I think its cause we are more concerned with consumption than with investment (savings). (LOL...I had to add that b/c I learned that in my Econ class

Hehe, I tend to keep anything that I think I or anyone else might want someday, even if I haven't touched it in years.
I still don't have a full-time job, which on the one hand is fine because I did want a break, but on the other hand makes me feel like a failure because everyone else is more impatient for me to get a job than I am.
I don't know if I can get up the money and plans to come to visit or not, but I've still got some time to work on that. BTW, what are the rules on guests? Would I be able to crash in your room, or is that not allowed? Also, how much time will you have? I don't want to wander around too much all by myself without anyone who knows at least some of the language, but I don't want to monopolize all your time and take you away from your studies and activities either.

eh. It would be no big deal about going out and stuff. I'm not sure about crashing in the room. I have no problem with it, but they make guests sign in and out when they come by and when they leave.
I'm not sure there is a way around that. Guess we'll have to wait and find out.
