*clears throat* weeeell miss S(get it?). you have a very low tolerance of "foul" language. which most ppl conceder to be ok. such as dar*..ok for me i personaly cant believe that i just *ed out dar*(there i go again). and most ppl would not know that the "d word" would concern you. ok just a word of advice (even though i have no right to give advice to you) if your planning to go to college (even a christian one) your gonna have to learn not to reject ppl who use foul language. i mean did Jesus come to the earth to save the people who were cleaned mouthed, church going ppl. i think not. so i think we all need to broaden our perspective.(wow that last sentence was waaaay to hippie:)
You did not give me any logic to discount any of my statements. All you proved is that people are more wordly than I like to tolerate. Christians are to be set apart from the world!
Oh yes, and just because I don't want to be around people with a foul mouth doesn't mean that I don't want them to become a Christian or that I don't love them or anything. I am around foul-mouthed people all the time, but they are not my friends, and I don't have to tolerate their behavior.
i encourage you in that act. but basically if u cut everything of like people like that. its dumb but no one will listen to you.
not being their friends is dumb to. really you should learn to lead by example instead of being held up in the little christian box churches put people in. it more of going outside of you comfort zone. understand everyone has flaws. forget what they do. if you dont do it. im sure they notice. and soon they wont saythings like that around you. and even if it is just around you. at least its a start. why would you be judgemental about people.
its people like you who give christians bad names for being judgemental and stuck up and only living for themselves. and. what to upp tight.
please i advise you to step out of your comfort zone. its not about you.
leading by example. is better that not reaching anyone.
same as if u have no non-christian friends.. how are u supposed to "help"someone you know nothing about..
I do not quite understand the point you are trying to make...but i think i understand a few things that you are trying to get across.
I think that today there are two extremes in the church. One extreme: too judgmental. Second extreme: too tolerant. I have tried to attain a balance between the two. Granted, noone except Jesus attained that perfect balance, but even He got angry at the Jews for selling in the Temple, and people hated even Him. How much more will I, with my sinful nature, tend to make people mad at me? All I can do is my best.
Sorry, but no. I will not back down from my statement. I will stand for my standards and stay faithful to Jesus. My God called me to be separated from the world (1Pe 2:9; 2Ti 2:21). I don't understand why one person trying to have high standards bothers you so much, and I don't understand why you think it's stuck up and selfish. If you want to explain it to me, then I am willing to listen.
Plus, I never said I didn't want to be your friend; I just said I didn't want to read that stuff
