*hugs tightly and tries to hum a calming tune*

The only fun thing I discovered for myself in this chapter was that "look of love" between big bad boss and Kenpachi. If that wasn't love at first sight, I don't know! :p

Anything else.... uhuuu. I feel that KT likes the effect of bodyless heads a bit too much recently. :/

Poor Byakuya.

*hugs back tightly*

Yeah, Kenpachi looks like he's going to be enjoying himself at least

But yeah :| *hugs Byakuya*

If Kenpachi makes it through the next chapter! Tenor around the net is that he will be cut down as well, simply because people root for him. (I loved his fight against Noitrra)

For a kiddou master - a rather unfit demise. (or downfall if he is still alive somewhere)

Well... Let's just say that I feel absolutely no desire to catch up with this manga any more. No wonder the series is at the bottom of the popularity list... alienating your fans isn't a good thing, but maybe KT doesn't care any more. :(

No you defintely don't. It's heartbreaking and even if Byakuya's not dead... he really won't be the same after this :(

I am hoping that this is going somewhere where they're not actually killed off, otherwise I don't know what his editors are doing :|

... I wasn't speaking about life lessons. I was speaking about making fans of other characters than Ichigo feel really awful. But whatever.

*pats you and offers lemon bars*

I was quite glad to see Kenpachi, and yet I have a sinking feeling that somehow KT will find a way to take even him down. Jeez, it's like KT has become an angry drunk who hates his own fictional world and everyone in it.

I'm not sure what to feel about Byakuya's "apparent" demise. He's never really been my favorite character (too rigid and cold for my tastes, I suppose), yet I do think of him as a staple. Then again, maybe he's not dead? None of the characters is confirming anything. They all say "it appears" or "it seems."

I'm not quite sure if Kubo is gonna resurrect everyone à la Kishimoto at the end of the Pain arc, or if he's going to just leave them all dead and make every last one of his fans hate him. It really feels like he's killing his career along with every character who dies.

Yeah it's been like that a lot recently. There's the "Oh yay character I love!" followed by "Oh shit what's Kubo going to do to them ;;"

The maybe this and maybe that is making me wonder. You know, is Kubo trying to keep his fans hanging on so all the Byakuya fans don't get up and leave because he *might* be alive or is this all as some of a bigger plan? More to the latter is that surely his editors wouldn't let him do this unless there was a reason? I mean if Bleach were more popular atm I wouldn't think about it as editors get scared the more popular something gets (like Harry Potter) but that's not the case here. There must be something going on?

To be fair by the world's law they're only dead in SS, they'll be reincarnated in the Living World. That aside there's got to be something more to that Quincy saying about living, not dying when he went to kill Harribel's fraccion. (Or perhaps I'm not being cynical enough....)

(I have absolutely no time but I just had to pick this sentence of yours up! :D )

To be fair by the world's law they're only dead in SS, they'll be reincarnated in the Living World. Now THAT would make for a really good end in Bleach - if everyone we loved was reincarnated in the RW and got a chance to grow character-wise. Because let's be honest, when you live in sorta heaven for several hundred years you don't really feel the need to grow, instead you advance yourself strentghwise or career-wise but certainly won't meditate over the questions of life & values ( ... )

I have actually now written a quick fic about this and yeah, I will post that once Zu-chan's checked it for me (haha my muse is on fire! XD)

Wow... this all makes so much sense! You guys always come up with these amazing musings and I sit here thinking 'that's so obvious, why didn't I think of that?!'

I haven't seen that film but I might look into it, it sounds very interesting :3

I have JUST and only just got back onto the social networking sites after the big catch-up and getting hooked on making some fanart yesterday, so the only stuff I've really seen is on Facebook.
So now I've been reading through LJ and DA and I'm really shocked at everyone's response. Everyone seems to be in mourning. I'm almost completely sure he's alive. I was horribly shocked by the images and, okay, there's a little doubt, but I really wouldn't give up just yet.
The arrancar reported that Rukia was dead after the fight with Aaroneiro when she wasn't, so, in terms of how things play out beyond the Fourth Wall, this is something Kubo's done before.
Sticking strictly within the Fourth Wall, reiatsu disappears when you die,but it also disappears when you're unconscious. The shinigami alone seem to understand the idiosyncracies of this.
I WILL NOT BELIEVE IT TIL THE SHINIGAMI CONFIRM IT.
