Still crazy-busy, trying to get everything done in time so I can leave in peace and content for Christmas feasting and general merrymaking in Germany. It's exciting - all of it, even the hard work we're putting in. I've always worked well under pressure, it makes me feel alive, like I'm really *doing* something here. Well, IMHO a question about usernames isn't quite so exciting that it should trigger everyone to answer it ;) I never bother anymore when people ask that - and a LOT of people do/have done in their journals, heaven knows why. 17 out of 85 seems like a damn good response to this question actually, so if I were you I'd be pleased with the result :)

Some people likely seek social interaction or an outlet via their friend's list... but some may use it as more of a voyeuristic view into another's life?

As one of the more-silent ones, I'll opinion that there are several people on my friends list whom I find fascinating to read, or who have a rather unique perspective, or eclectic writing style that endears their writing to me - but that doesn't necessarily endear them to me. Just because I find someone's writing interesting - doesn't mean I want to forge a relationship with them? Sometimes I am drawn to one or two posts from a person, and I put them on my friends list for a chance to sample more... sometimes that person sticks there for a while, sometimes they don't ( ... )

I actually want to come up with a more creative username. Did you tell us where yours came from?

I think mine was just the first thing that popped into my head way back when I first started using the net. I figured it would be simpler to keep it basically the same throughout all my different profiles.

I went back and answered your user name question ;) I want to use livejournal more, I got out of the habit and now I don't feel so drawn to it, but I know if I start actually commenting more, it will come back. So that's what I am doing now, hehe.

Funny, how you always seem to get so busy right before a holiday somewhere, it happens to me too :)

Actually I never tasted pecan pie, is it made anywhere else than the US?
