I recently saw these 2 rooms and found them very inspiring. Both in North African/Maghrebian style.

I love the North African style interior design. They manage to have dark, rich colors without looking gothic or depressing. I never quite figured out how they do it.

The first room is gorgeous with those high arches over the windows. I want to move in!

Yeah, I love the style. Every time I go there, I want to buy everything - lol. The fascination of local houses is that they tend to look rather plain from the outside but once you step inside, really amazing things can be found. I've been to some old homes in the medinas that really had me stunned. I'd move right in too. =)

Well,
some people might think it is comfortable. But in my opinion this kind of interior is just disgusting. I don't know, the only things I connect with oriental things are smoking the water pipe, riding camels and wearing long white clothes...

Well no, this is just my impression. I don't like North-African countries in general. I don't like the climate, the heat etc.
