Yes, I started again after years of too much internetting and not enough reading. Overall, I probably read 75% non-fiction and 25% fiction. I didn't get to 2 of the books this time and already have renewed so they shall go back unread. Ah well. So much to choose from.
You know, up until last year I always thought that cruises are the most boring way to spend time, let alone travel anywhere. And this year I find myself constantly thinking about a cruise in the Caribbean or somewhere on the African coast. Help, what's happening to me! :D
Same here. We must be getting old. ;o) Personally, I'm not much for the Caribbean in the travel context but I'd love a cruise around the Med or from here to Hawaii. South Africa along the East African coast and on to India would also be something I would jump on. One of my favorite restaurants here is by that part of the harbor where the cruise ships leave the L.A. ports. It's pretty cool to sit on their terrace and see them cruise by, huge as they are. My parents haven't been cruise people so far either - but it's appealling to all of us these days so if they come out, we might do that.
Yeah. I used to buy all my books but have become too picky so doing a "testrun" via library books is great. I will then buy only what I really like. I have shelves full of books as it is and don't want to add anything that's just so-so to it anymore.
