I just saw it for the first time, and yes. I've really gotten into the movie Boondock Saints.

And let me tell you, I've seen Willem Dafoe in a movie or two before, but in this one he is the <3

In other news, Berserk Vol. 13 came out yesterday, and I just bought my copy! *_* Okay, so I've been wanting

Boondock Saints I felt about the same as I did Pulp Fiction: it was worth seeing once, but I see no reason why I need to go back and repeat the experience. I suspect this has a lot to do with me getting pretty burned out on two-gun machismo courtesy of Hong Kong, which already scorched that particular plot of land flat a decade earlier.

That said ... I can't think of a single movie with Willem Dafoe where I didn't at least savor his performance, and he has been everything from Satanic to subdued. Check out Light Sleeper, a very underrated flick he did in 1991, for an example of him doing a very likeable, laid-back peformance. I also forever love his turn as the counterfeiter in To Live and Die in L.A. (another favorite of mine).

Expect to see mad praise of Berserk before long.
