Ok, so this was stolen from an e-mail I got today. However, it made me laugh at the difference your point-of-view can make on your perception of a situation.
See? This is what the armed forces should use as a recruitment tool for the most rural areas in the country. "Come, join the army, and you will have an easier life than you are used too."
That campaign should be more effective than: "Be all that you can be."
That's great! This is how boot camp was described to me by graduates thereof, when i was weighing my options in preparation for starting at NGCSU: "They make you work out all day til you're ready to drop, then they wake you up at dawn to run five miles. Throw in a little shooting and some screaming, and that's about it. You'd love it."
What is it with little Asian girls and big guns? I met a girl from China at school, and she got this bright glint in her eye when she started talking about the mandatory summer she spent in the army. She REALLY liked firing the AK-47. However, on the surface she was the quietest, sweetest woman you ever met.
