.: Yuri On Ice :.
under the cut just to save some length. :)

House of Broken Bones by
ineptshieldmaid [Yuuri/Victor, Yuuri/Victor/Chris, Chris/OMC, NC-17, 23.715 words]
Summary: ‘I think,’ Yuri says, still watching Chris like Chris is a puzzle he’s trying to solve, ‘that you had a good thing with Théo. If you know he doesn’t need you, and his partner doesn’t either, and they still want you around? They still want to care for you? That’s… that’s love, Chris.’ Or: Working title 'Christophe retires, has a breakdown, and a threesome'.
Rec Notes: The working title is accurate, but the introspection here is on point with a stellar framework fleshing out the details.

with a love this deep by
lazulisong [Yuuri/Victor, R, 2.904 words]
Summary: There's two types of dates Victor and Yuri go on in St. Petersburg. Yuri likes them both.
Rec Notes: One of the things I love best about the show is Yuuri as an unreliable narrator and here lazulisong manages to show some of the seams where Yuuri's perception is almost certainly not the same as an objective observer's would be. Multiple mental images of Yuuri in eyeliner doesn't hurt a damn thing, lemme tell you.

hood & glove by
Fahye &
hawberries [Yuri/Otabek, Yuuri/Victor, PG-13, 12.473 words]
Summary: "I don't mess with the fae," Otabek says.

"I'm not asking you to mess with them," JJ flat-out lies.
Rec Notes: I adore everything from the world building to the characterizations to the OCs and everything else in between. Otabek's POV is delightful and this is definitely on my list of favorite fics. If you haven't read Fahye's Yuri!!! in Space series then know that also comes highly recommended. I've been inexplicably saving the second one for a while but I can say with authority the first is very enjoyable.

o, death, where is your sting? by
infiniteandsmall [Yuuri/Victor, Yuri/Otabek, PG-13, 8.676 words]
Summary: The last day that Viktor will spend coaching Yuuri in the dim quiet of Hatsetsu Ice Castle, Viktor kneels in front of his future husband to lace his skates. His knees ache, but they have since he was twenty-five, and with Yuuri’s smile sweet as Belgian chocolate he barely notices the pain in his joints. (aka the story of viktor figuring out how to cope with his retirement and yuuri's impending retirement featuring old friends, new friends, beaches, rivers, and one very important and personally meaningful competition)
Rec Notes: You might expect this one to be sad and while it does have a poignancy to it, it is ultimately gorgeous, quietly joyful, and with a lot of moments that are very funny. Definitely recommended.

Hands on Education by
BewareTheIdes15 [Yuri/Otabek, NC-17, 3.945 words]
Summary: Sometimes Yuri forgets that Otabek is older than him. And not just in the "has four years of seniors on him" way or the "his old-ass body is going to crap out of competition before Yuri’s does" way or the "doesn’t have to go to fucking tutoring everyday because he graduated, the lucky bastard" way. Because, like, yeah, all of that’s true, but on any given day it doesn’t particularly matter. They mostly do all of the same stuff, and know all of the same people, and have the same job, so, like, what’s the big deal, right?

Tongues.

Tongues are the big deal.
Rec Notes: Otabek kisses Yuri and Yuri's brain goes full on bag of cats. So, so hot and so goddamn hilarious at the same time. ...Okay, excuse me, I have to go re-read this now.

.: Magnificent 7 :.

Nothing (That We Didn't Already Know) by
kittykatthetacodemon [Faraday/Vasquez, PG, 4.169 words]
Summary: It was damn cold out in the wilds of Montana, and neither of them had really considered how ill-suited they were for northern winters. They’d be making Chisolm pay for this particular trip for a long time to come.
Rec Notes: This is actually the latest installment in kittykatthetacodemon's stellar series that I'm taking the opportunity to rec the whole of: Luck of the Draw. This installment is nice h/c - yay for realistic hypothermia recovery! - with an ending that made me laugh. :)

Shake Like Penions by
ThrillingDetectiveTales [Faraday/Vasquez, PG-13, 4.545 words]
Summary: “I got to thinkin’ about it,” he explained all in a rush, trying to work through his reasoning before the wary exasperation in Vasquez's gaze won out over the fondness, “and I figure if my throat were worth more to most men slit than otherwise, I wouldn't invite a stranger’s hand to hold a blade up to it, either.”
Rec Notes: This is a lovely all around fic but the "post-credits" scene in the end notes is a hilarious do not miss.

.: Supergirl :.

Split-Seam by
Gnimaerd [Alex/Maggie, PG-13, 3.126 words]
Summary: Kara was off doing her heroic duty somewhere Alex couldn’t help her and that Alex was, predictably, a garbage fire of shot nerves and tequila cravings. A little domestic fluff, set between 2x10 and 2x11; Maggie looks after Alex while Kara is away on a mission, and begins to truly understand who the Danvers sisters are.
Rec Notes: This is really just lovely. I'm perpetually behind on this show but I really loved Maggie's bemused POV.

.: Questionable Content :.

Two for Tea by
rosefox [Faye/Bubbles, PG-13, 2.166 words]
Summary: Faye and Bubbles open a tea shop. Hilarity ensues.
Rec Notes: If you're not familiar with Questionable Content, it's a regularly updated web comic with some great characters set in an alternate universe much like our own, just with a lot of sentient robots/AIs operating as part of society. This fanwork features dialogue with scene descriptions and it all feels spot-on and generally delightful.
