We're all amazed that the three of them were basically uninjured, and Melinda's camera equipment (she's a pro photographer and does horse shows and stuff) and the keg and wine weren't destroyed in it.

The firemen actually saved the wine and keg.....

That room looks fucking AWESOME.

I really want to go to a big fan event like this someday. I've sort of gotten over the con thing, but this looks fun.

The only con I even consider going to anymore is Dragon.

Crystal Ball isn't a *huge* event, but it's put on my a good majority of people I hang out with. (who, coincidentally, I met through the Harry Potter fandom) I hadn't originally planned on going, but work schedules allowed for it, and Rory had extra space in her room, so it worked out well. :)

I freakin' dream of going to D*C, but I work at a film festival the same weekend, and while I guess I could skip that, I usually regret doing it, especially because I've been going since I was really small, and it's almost like seeing extended family.

That's so cool! I can only imagine what goes into planning an event like that, wow. Was it just the ball, or were there other things to do, too?

Beth got the call as we were helping her get dressed. Initially, it sounded like they'd been majorly injured with how her reactions were, but then when we saw them in one piece, there were hugs all around.

I mean, though I've only known Melinda, Ken, and Joy for a few months, I really can't imagine not having them around.
