"You have a plan? Or...anything I need to know?" Rockman had armor if needed but he hoped he wouldn't, as getting shot at by weapons of the future couldn't be that fun.

"I might be able to make the Pantheons leave again, but I wouldn't count on it ... oh! and they're basically drones themselves, really low-grade reploids. Not even real people."
Xiao shivered, and continued his explanation.
"Right now my plan is mostly to get back in there and find out if managed to dream the whole thing, or if someone who really should be dead did actually talk to me. And, maybe ... get another opinion on what I should do about him."

He shifted Zero's weight to get a better hold as more of him came loose, grimacing at the grinding sound.

Two more cables came loose with a faint crack, leaving a multitude of smaller tubes and feeders that Xiao began to pull free carefully.
".. I wonder; should we teleport right into the Tower, or bring him somewhere else first? The security won't recognize you, but if we went somewhere else I could try to get to Phantom without risking Zero."

"Somewhere else, it wouldn't help if we were found out there. They could take Zero..." And the government must have something against Zero if they'd leave him like this.

Xiao tugged the last bit of tubing free as the greater chunk of Zero's left shoulder-guard crumbled and fell. Twitching, he reached out a hand to try and smooth down the puckered synthflesh showing where the cables had attached; the back of Zero's armour had been cut away.
"Reality Vanish? Or maybe just to the forest if it's only going to be a short while ..."
