Would Reality Vanish be better than the Nexus? There's weirdos in the Nexus. And it's been almost two months -- the medics and Harpuia say the eggs are going to hatch soon.

There are twenty-eight of them so you don't have to worry.

Two months? Time must move faster for you than I'd previously thought.

It's usually twice as much time passing as Nexus-time, but sometimes a little slower or faster. Twice is a good average guess though.

Harpuia think they're interesting and he's wondering if he can introduce them as a new species into the biome. It's nice to see him taking an interest in something.

Xiao was taking X at his word that he'd be arriving shortly.

With Chryses chattering in his ear from her perch on the back of the park bench, he sat with an incubator of eggs and kept an eye out for X --

X wasn't long in arriving, and he came with a bronze sidekick too.

Zanzibar launched from his perch on X's shoulder as they entered the clearing. The bronze warbled a greeting as he circled the bench, Xiao, and Chryses.

X gave Xiao a smile. "Good afternoon, Xiao."

Chryses arched her neck towards Zanzibar and caroled back at him, mincing back and forth along the back of the bench.

Ignoring lizard antics for now, Xiao smiled back at X.

"Better than last time! Hi."

Zanzibar swooped in to land on the back of the bench as well, flaring his wings dramatically and arching his neck a little, displaying for her.

X ignored the showoff.

"That's good to hear." X came over and chose to sit on the end of the bench. "How have things been going back home for you? Aside from eggs and a broody mother lizard?"

"He says that now it's safe for him to have his own, with the world settling down again and him being clean -- whatever that means. And I guess he figures it's his turn?"

Curious despite himself now, Xiao tilted his head and blinked at X.

"You can't do that? That's kind of weird; I would've thought that you'd get there first, since you do that sex thing."

"...I guess that makes sense."

Then X blinked and flushed a little. "Ah... that doesn't have anything to do with reproduction for reploids, Xiao..."

Oh, yay.

Xiao flicked his ponytail over his shoulder and didn't quite suppress a small huff of annoyance. For all that X hadn't liked his own reaction to the subject once, he was awful sensitive about it now.

"No, but it does for humans and reploids are patterned after humans aren't they? Especially that way, where you come from. So why wouldn't I think that you already worked on that kind of thing?"

X rubs the back of his head a little. "As far as I know, it's never been done, or even tried. I'm not entirely sure why not, though. Maybe in the future someone will invent something, but for now it doesn't exist in my world."
