I think it's perfectly reasonable to ban mosques in NYC. It's only fair, given that churches have been banned in Atlanta since 1996.

But see, you can't blame Christians or Christianity as a whole for the actions of one crazy guy calling himself a Christian! After all, Christians are a diverse group; they are individuals, each with different beliefs about what Christianity means and how to act it out. Not like those *Muslims!

*Muslims = The Borg

It's just disgusting. People are such simple minded, obtuse morons.

Whatever, it's getting built anyway, so they can whine all they want, but they're not going to get their way.

ETA: This reminds me of an exchange I had a few years ago:

Woman: (Some statement about how China was being oppressive to their citizens.)
Me: Well, true, but there are times when we're no better. After all, we're making a habit of invading foreign countries we have no business being in.
Woman: Well...they did, you know...ATTACK us.
Me: ...Iraq didn't attack us.
Woman: Yes they did.
Me: ...Osama Bin Laden is Saudi. As were 19 of the highjackers.
Woman: ...it's all the same over there anyway. Not much of a difference.
Me: ::HEADDESK:: ::blink:: ::stare::

Wow. It really troubles me when people are so ignorant about the Middle East that they don't have a clue how ignorant they are. We do have troops over there, after all. It's kind of important.
