I bet the weather was perfect for camping. I like it when it's in the low 80s during the day and maybe the high 50s at night. I'm surprised it might have gotten colder than 50 there, though, even though it's in the mountains!
I've gone camping twice in my life, but never where you guys did. Might be worth trying sometime. :) I'm sort of in love with how the stars look when there isn't tons of light pollution nearby.
It was pretty perfect. The daytime was, anyway - the night could have been slightly warmer, but we were fine. It was actually probably in the high 60s to low 70s in the daytime, at least in the shade, and we were in the shade most of the time.
It's definitely worth trying. Those cliffs were amazing. There was still the light from Luray to deal with, but other than that it was nice and dark.
