Having chronic back pain can make a person feel really old. My chiropractor helps me out as needed, though his adjustments are rather rough. "Ok, let's move this part. Ah, that's better."

try water exercise. a lot of my people have back issues and can work in a pool.

and I'll second the chiropractor. I used to have a chiropractor/naprapath in Chicago who I loved. Or see a good massage person.

I empathize-- when I had the fractured vertebrae last spring, I was also cranky and mad about my inability to be active :( any clues on what's wrong? I hope that you feel better soon!

Er... this might be from the Dept. of Redundancy Dept., but have you gone to see your doctor? Perhaps physical therapy (which might include heat wraps, massage, and ultrasound, as well as specific exercises) is in order.

Nonetheless, Healing Thoughts are being sent your way.

No, I appreciate the concern. I have seen the doctor, and am currently in the process of scheduling a physical therapy appointment. Also, my first visit with the chiropractor is next Monday.
