I've come to the conclusions that very few people ever have their "ideal" first time, particularly if they rush into it (which is generally the case). Despite my relatively advanced age by most standards (I actually lost mine about 4 months after you did), it was definitely rushed, and looking back, I probably wished it hadn't happened so soon.

Actually, there's a part of me that, considering the two people I have slept with in my life, wishes I was still a virgin at 27.

I definitely agree. Very few people have the magical, perfect first time. Which is something I have told myself many times when I think back to this moment. I don't think I would even be too disappointed about the whole thing if it wasn't for the attitude he took about it, like it was his right to do that and not so much my choice. *shrugs*

I totally agree with your final thought as well. Until my husband there was a part of me that felt the same. Things would have been so much easier if I had still been a virgin. But I feel these things, they come back to help us in some ways so I guess it's nice to have it done and over with! :D
