I know exactly what you're feeling. I stayed in a friend's (exfriend's - but that's another story) 'finished' attic for two months... and both of my cats were dead inside that two month period. They were both healthy when I moved in. Granted one was 14yr old - but the one who died first... he was only 4yrs old. They both got infested with fleas from the bats. And then sicked quickly and died. We also ended up with a massive infestation of bedbugs [eeeeeww!!] which we got from the bats, which we're still in the process of getting rid of (and will be for months ( ... )
