Cover Coverage

I've been getting some questions about a VA cover that's shown up on Amazon, so I thought I'd address that and some other relevant info for you guys. Here's the cover I'm talking about, which is what shows up when you view the first book, Vampire Academy:

I have to say that I like the old covers much better and am quite happy I already have them all. The box set part does excite me, though. I may have to have that. ;)

Ditto the original covers and also glad to have them. These covers (like the movies) only press the reader into what the novels world 'should' look like... when the whole point of reading is to encourage the reader to use their own imaginations.

I don't want a book jacket to reveal anything, hint, yes.

I don't want to 'watch' a book either.

Don't read just watch the movies, which is the statement the teen next door said. They aren't teaching young students cursive in a number of US elementary schools anymore, is reading words out of school curriculum next too? Imagination on the chopping block after that?

For me.. keep the movies, I'll stick with the books.

Wish those like me luck, when you can't even walk down the card aisle of a grocery store without being bombarded with Edward Cullen/Robert Pattinson image birthday cards. This movie will be exactly the same. Unavoidable. :P

I like the mass market paperback cover. For me the faces of the characters in book covers are way too distracting. I want to imagine the faces of the characters myself and not be shown what they look like.
