Haha, that's a nice point. I hadn't considered it, but now that it's been mentioned -- I think a mix of Japanese/European appearance with the clothes might just work because Ten's father was "European" and his mother "Japanese" :B (if these places actually existed in Everblue). He buys the clothes in the city too, which probably should have a largely European look.
Ah, I was worried about the jacket. I'll experiment with some different colors :].
Haha, I should have also mentioned another inspiration: Yoh Asakura from Shaman King. Goku was the inspiration for Ten's naivety/gullibility and Yoh for his perpetual optimism XD.
I love this new look for Ten :D I certainly look at him more differently now, he looks more like a traveler than a drifter with the more complete article of clothing :B The sketches of him are brilliant! I'm seeing that childish look on him clearly there!
Man,this sure is nice! Gotta agree-the warmer colours really do make him seem a little more...uhm,positive?XD Not that the blue wasn't fitting(I kinda miss the blue actuallyXD),but I guess it's just as jesncin put it-he looks more like a traveler and less like a drifter.Plus who doesn't like a little warm colours amidst a blue sea ;3
Also,I love your sketches.I don't know how you make them look like that,but they're amazing ;__;
This one makes me think of drawing Ten for some reason.Whenever I've tried to make fanart of Ten,it never really came out quite right,...I never get him right XD But I'm gonna get it right this time!*determinationface*
Yes! I was thinking the same thing. He's almost always going to be shown with blue sky or sea in the background, and a complimentary color like orange would help him not disappear XD.
Aw, don't worry about that. I created him and I don't think I've drawn him right yet :B. But, omg, thanks so much! 8D

Yes, exactly XD. I wanted him to look more prepared for sea travel, weather changes, etc, and less like a poor wanderer, lol.
Thanks! I usually find myself sketching the other three more than Ten (which probably explains why I have such a hard time drawing him XD).
