oh, how mean, i just wrote you a very nice long list of books you should read, and the stupid stupid computer went all kersplerge and now its gone...
it went something like this...
nausea - sartre
the age of reason - sartre
hunger - knut hamsun
memoirs of a dutiful daughter - simone de beauvoir
what i loved - siri hustvedt
east of eden - steinbeck
ummm
and i have to add this because, even though it isnt a novel as such, its poetry, everyone should read and ADORE this book, i dont care if youve already read it!
les fleurs du mal - baudelaire
and also, i think, if you were trying to say "i am an author" it would be "je suis une auteur" or something...
i know none of those books are particularly "obscure" but you know what...FUCK obscurity!
oh oh oh also...
anything by andre gide...la symphonie pastorl, i liked that...
and madame bovary by flaubert, i assume youve read that? if you havent YOU MUST!!!

it's supposed to read

'I is an other'

it's meant to be gramatically incorrect

i want to go home.

my english literature assessed essay this semester is on "je est un autre" and how (if at all) "this grammatical eccentricity" illuminates any two of the texts we've studied.
what fun.

Also Which texts?

ooh, could you email it to me? that would be ace indeed. emmakatecampbell@btinternet.com

i'm definitely going to do hamlet. how predictable. uhmm... dunno about the other one. maybe dickens' 'great expectations' or 'money' by martin amis... or 'the awakening' by kate chopin, but if you do a women writer you always get marked down if you don't take the opportunity to have a big feminist rant. decisiiiiions.

good luck with the teacher training dealy, you worthy person, you. now you can moral-high-ground everyone into the... ehh, ground.
