Been battling a pretty nasty cold for the past week, otherwise I probably would have done this sooner...
total number of completed stories: If you don't count
Only the Young (because, lol, I majorly fail at finishing that), and the text!fic, then 60. WTAF, self?!?
total word count: 87,336
fandom breakdown: Hockey RPS: 36 | Law & Order: 7 | Original: 17
Overall Thoughts...
Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted? Way, way more than I thought.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January? Well, I wrote Rangers fic, does that count? *g*
What's your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?
A Thousand Kisses Deep Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
Between Two Lungs, was a pretty big risk form wise.
Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year? I'm hoping to actually finish the long Matt Gilroy/Teddy Purcell & Nate Thompson/Teddy Purcell fic I've been working on. Probably try to focus a bit more on the '
We Were Emergencies'-verse. And, I don't know, I might try and re-vist
Only the Young.
From my past year of writing, what was...
My best story of this year: I don't have one.
My most popular story of this year: I have no idea. I suppose
Try and Hide the Night, but like I said, I'm not sure.
Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
A Thousand Kisses Deep Most fun story to write:
Don't Let This Line Go Slack, or the Steven Stamkos/Steve Downie portion of
Tired and Wired, We Ruin too Easy Story with the single sexiest moment:
One's Not Half Two. It's Two are Halves of One. Really? Do I have to explain why? *g*
Most "Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: Nothing, really. I suppose
Between two Lungs or
Halo Down, if character death counts.
Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
You and Me are the Lucky Ones Tonight. I had to cover a lot of ground/back-story about Brad and Vince, so I had to really sit and think about their characters.
Hardest story to write:
L'aveu de L'amour, because structure wise I battled with it constantly.
Biggest Disappointment: Well, I didn't actually finish
Only the Young. So, yeah, that would be my biggest disappointment, I guess.
Biggest Surprise: Besides how much I actually wrote? I guess the fact that I wrote about the Syracuse Crunch at all.
Most Unintentionally Telling Story:
Burning Oneself In or
Parentheses All Clicking Shut Behind You, mostly because I found I had to kind of take a couple risks with how I thought Mike and Ryan sounded.
