This article about pirate-hunting cruises off the African coast is a perfect example of how an anarcho-capitalist level free market can provide disincentives for crime (in this case, piracy). Nice. Only thing is, you don't have to use $100 textbooks. Buy old editions that aren't being used in classes any more for CHEAP, or download freely available textbooks (some professors even release their texts as open-source eventually, and there are Wiki-based projects for textbooks). If you want something you can hold in your hands, buy a Kindle DX and read free/open-source textbooks on *that*. It'll still cost you less for the Kindle than for 4-5 textbooks, and you can get the newest versions as soon as they come out for free instead of being stuck with old errors.
