it probably isn't my place to really say, but i will anyway since i don't think many people read this journal.

she came up from florida to visit and check out the place she was planning to get married at. while she had used drugs in high school and after, she'd been clean for about the last 2 years. the coroner's report said that she died from a heroin overdose. she died at my apartment (no, i wasn't using anything) and when the police came they initially were saying i could be arrested for accessory to homicide or something. my apartment was roped off as a crime scene and they took all kinds of pictures and questioned me for hours before letting me go. i'm still not sure what is going on with all this, but i assume if i was going to be in trouble that i'd know by now.

Wow. Guess she wasn't clean anymore if the coroner discovered an H overdose. That's really sad and awful. And, how can you be an accessory to homicide if it was a drug overdose? Granted, I'm no cop, but that sounds like one of their intimidation tactics...

I would love to send some flowers; can you tell me where to send them? Or even better, can you tell me where the service will be held? I'm having trouble finding any info online (the name Diaz is just too common..)

ok, i know this is way way way after you posted that question (like, 2 years almost i think) but i haven't been on livejournal forever. yes, you can be accessory to homicide if it was determined that you helped procure or actively encouraged the person to use. and as for the service. . . i don't know. they cremated her somewhere in florida. her parents said that if i tried to contact them or have anything to do with their family they would get a restraining order. they're convinced i killed their daughter. this is still true almost 2 years later.

Oh wow,I hope you are doing better and the police left you alone. I'm rarely on livejournal, but i'm always on facebook. I would love to catch up anytime.
