Work has been repetitive. Pretty much all eight hours I stand stamping rivets into fan blades. I am filling in for the almost 30-year veteran on a one-month vacation overseas. Felt sick most of the day. I don't think it was the heat either as I stayed in the shade the past couple days. Maybe it's some bug. The hierarchy of assembly places is as follows from the bottom - peons, the middle guys (managers), and those professional MBA types. The latter hides behind walls with doors that have coded locks on them. When they need something done, an order or something checked, they summon the middle guys. Today Cough and I went along with eleven other people to see the proposed sites for the new and improved Crystal Mountain Ski Resort and a Hyak-like spin off. The Resort has visions of two luxury hotels that house 250 a piece along with a grand three-story overlook restaurant and new lifts.
