I've been playing piano a lot lately. Last week I couldn't hear the notes for their out-of-tune-(e)d-ness. This week I forget it's out of tune. I bet the neighbours don't. I wonder which side of us is more sick of Gretchaninoff's Festive Dance which is a mazurka.

i was expecting tom hanks to show up and play chopsticks for a while and then trip and fall down the stairs, because, seriously, piano stairs--that's a lawsuit waiting to happen! stairs are serious business!

You're not wrong about that. You won't, therefore, be surprised to note that this did not take place in Amerika but in a less litigious country. Here in my land we are becoming less forgiving and more litigious, as a general rule. Whenever this is remarked on in the media (not often), they compare us to the US in terms of saying things like we are following US trends.

Not yet, no. I was disappointed no one tried to really play it, although it sort of looks like a couple were silently (to us) trying to play chopsticks together.
