Help using LJ Cuts

Still messing around with how to use LJ cuts and hoping someone will let me know what to do.

1. I used COPY to move the html code over and removed the asterisk. That didn't work.

2. I switched to HTML view on the journal page and added the copied code and removed the asterisk and that didn't work.

Help? Suggestions?

Hello and thank you for posting how to do the LJ-cut. I also had to resave my document in a textfile BUT without your comments, I never would have figured out how to NEST the text in the code (if that makes sense). Thanks also for the comment on the short story (too long to go without the LJ-cut), though I'm not currently happy with the ending at all (not posted yet). Several people said to work on action rather than passive voice, so that gives me a good direction. I hope your writing in 2008 goes well. Bluebethley
