Created J&J PowerPoint slide

Since I had so much fun via last night's S401 crash course on Microsoft Office PowerPoint, I just created another short PowerPoint slide for Joyce & Jung.  Arright.  Problem:  I still can't validate my S401 homepage OK, and Yasser said last night that we'll lose 10 assignment points if our pages don't meet the validation requirement.  Shit...

Just checked the validation status for several web addresses for my most frequently visited sites (e.g. IUB, LJ, Yahoo!) via the W3C Markup Validation Service and discovered that wikipedia's main page is perfectly XHTML 1.0 strict. So I could use that page as a template for my page--i.e. "view source" for wikipedia.org and see how they did it.

P.S. Rita Dove was awesome last night, but the context in which she was featured was so crappy--i.e. programming for "Diversity Day" could've been a whole lot better (e.g. Why couldn't she have been invited to teach/read at the IUWC instead??).

Yay, Web Portfolio pages are validated, and I can't quit looking at my Joyce & Jung and "Casanova the Libertine Librarian" PowerPoint slides. And Lou said she might be able to do something re. the economics of taking her course.
