First the good news: Emilia Martins at COAS assures me that I can apply for readmission to the PhD program in English. Whether or not the English Dept. will say OK about this, and whether or not any application for readmission will be approved is a whole different matter ( Read more... )

Just double-checked with the Student Ctr. on Onestart, and it defines unsatisfactory degree progress as too many CR and no degree earned. Thus I'll assume that they're referring to the PhD program in English, not the MLS. Fingers crossed I can get this shit straightened out without the hassle of filing an SAP appeal.

Yeah, it does--but I just heard back fr. Financial Aid and they tell me that I'm down for 75 CR hrs. towards the MLS degree (15 hrs. in excess of the 60 max). I totally don't get it because thus far, I've attempted and earned only 9 CR not counting those for S401. It's got to be some weird database glitch--so I can get this straightened out pretty easily (hopefully).
