YES...I am pregnant, due New Years Day amazingly enough! We've kept it on the DL because, well, it wasn't much of a planned thing. Plus I had planned on spending 4 weeks in China and the trip itinerary wasn't going to change. The grandparents to-be didn't even know until I got back. But I'm slowly getting more comfortable letting the news trickle out - and right now I'm over the moon because

wow! that's amazing! so you're 5 months along? is your belly starting to get bigger? have you thought of names?

i told my boyfriend about you and he couldn't understand why it's such a big deal that an old friend is pregnant and i realized it's because i haven't known someone from my 1st degree of separation that's gotten pregnant. so i'm excited for you!! and i want to know all about it!

It's pretty nutty that I'm going to have a family soon. The reality hasn't quite set in. It's getting close though. I have such a weird, thick body shape to begin with that a stranger on the street wouldn't be able to tell I'm pregnant unless they carefully studied my weight distribution. Fortunately my wedding dress will fit so that's important! At least my parents can rest assured this isn't shotgun wedding. We were engaged a good three months before baby formation!

Pat and I have discussed names a little, but now we know that it's a girl for sure that makes it easy. I have my name picked out, he likes it but doesn't LOVE it so I told him to pitch some suggestions and we'll see. Until he does we're sticking with my name which will be a surprise!
