Saw Shakey' s The Winter's Tale last night at the Old Vic, no Dustin Hoffman beside me this time as I was in a cheap seat with a pillar. It was alright, but they had obviously pared down the staging for touring, so it didn't come alive for me; the second half was better, I think it's the play more anything else. Wow, that's a myriad of interesting factoids and tidbits! It's a shame there was no Bishi coverage, she says it's her best two shows ever :( I admonish the Big british Castle for not recording all of it, ffs just get a work experience youth with a mobile phone camera in if the credit crunch is that bad!

I'm glad Alexander's seedy adventurer is finally making his mark on Shakespeare, I'd love to hear him do Romeo. Perhaps it would be more Romeo and Julian though...

Twas very bored yesterday and sad that I wasn't at Glasto, so I thought I'd annoy LJ :-)
But the main gist of it is EVERYONE should see All's Well that Ends Well.
