UN Peacekeepers sued for not preventing massacre

Jun 04, 2007 20:27

To quote the story from the BBC: "Relatives of the victims of the 1995 Srebrenica massacre have filed a case against the Dutch state and the UN, saying they allowed it to happen."

What do we learn from this? Don't try to help when people are massacring each other. They'll just blame you.

Totally off-point. I like to hike. Maybe we could get a small group together based upon your idea.

Heya,
Not to ignore you or anything, but I've been on "technology strike" for a while. So.. Hiking? Or just hanging out at a park or something would be good. I could definitely use an excuse to just chill in a park some weekend afternoon.

Let me know if you're interested. I've got some kind of grand picnic in the sun forming in my imagination. I'm not exactly vegan but I can fake it for a while. =)

Cheers,
Me

Yeah. I will. I have another friend who likes to hike/walk also, and he's another scientist so it makes for interesting conversation.

Good to hear from you, man.

That sounds awesome. Sorry for being slow to respond. Work has been super tense lately, but it's at times like these that it's most important to take time out and relax. That's one thing I'm not very good at doing.

If you and your friend can find a time that you're both available in the sunnyvale/mountainview/paloalto area (I think that's around where you are..) then let me know!

I'll send you a message with direct contact info.

Cheers!
BB
