Arrived this Saturday and everyone is comfortably settled in temporary housing...

I am off this week, work starts next Monday.

Spent the last two days looking at houses in the metro, found some with definite potential, but we have a lot more looking ahead of us...

Yesterday morning Henry woke up and immediately started talking about “Bunnies”. This was unusual, so we asked him, “Did you have a dream about Bunnies?”

“Yeah.”

“Bunny… Hold… Soft…” all while making cradling motions.

After six years of being an integral part of our family, our beloved Bosko Mau was laid to rest this morning. He had been ill for a while, suffering three urinary obstructions in the last month, and a final blockage this weekend... Sadly, the damage done to his bladder was not recoverable ( Read more... )

I was laid-off from my job at the end of March, along with 75% of the staff, and must now make significant choices as to the direction of my life over the next two decades. I was flying through Dallas-Ft. Worth airport Tuesday afternoon, returning from an interview in San Antonio, and I eavesdropped on a conversation between four young men and women who were on their way to Basic training...

It dawned on me as I listened that I had been in their place June of 1988... 21 years ago!
