Father's Day
I was just reading a friends page and she was talking about her father who had past recently. She posted some little stories about her father and it hit me that the few memories that I have about my father are slowly diminishing. My own father died a few months before my 7th birthday and I haven't celebrated Father's Day in many years. So I

I didn't get to tell my dad goodbye. I had talked to him on the phone the night before he died, but we didn't say much - we thought we had plenty of time.
I think out of everything, that's what gets me. No one thinks they're mortal - they have no real understanding that death can take you at any time, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. It's made me much more a live in the moment kind of person, I can tell you that much.
