Night Owl is not Batman.

Why do so many comic book nerds not like the Watchmen movie?

Sure it wasn't frame-by-frame perfect and most of the music choices sucked, but I thought it was pretty great overall.

Clearly I'm not jaded enough.

*shrug*

jaded geeks, watchmen movie

Purists hate adaptations because they always suck, without fail. Unless it's Twilight, which they actually got right.
Because you liked the movie, you are not a purist and therefore will not flip out over any and all comic-book-to-movie changes.

Just sayin'.

I have been known to have nerd-rages against movie adaptations, but I guess those movies weren't straight up adaptations really. Or claiming to be.

I guess because comic book nerds LOVE to complain about anything and everything.

I've decided I'm just going to see it for myself. I'm not especially attached to the book, although the changed ending is a tad disappointing. Still, I'll go in with an open mind and hopefully enjoy it.

It's not a terrible changed ending though. Not a great move, but I didn't see it ruining the movie, and I didn't know about the change previously to seeing the movie.

It's not the best super hero movie, but it's not bad by any means. You'll probably enjoy it.
