When: Wednesdays, after Dinner

Why: why not? A lot of Persona 3 revolves around bad stuff happening on full moons. Minato has consequently become very cognizant of the lunar cycle, and this has in turn incited some curiosity in him about the movements of the heavenly bodies in general.

FLYING

When: Saturdays, apparently?

Why: Even if he doesn't look it, Minato like to remain active. This is why he normally does sports in school (and part of why he joined a sport on top of all the activity that went on at night for SEES) and besides, learning how to fly seems a really fantastic thing for him. As might be told from the odd smile on his face when he first calls forth Orpheus, he gets something of a rush from the whole persona summoning and battle kick, and something like flying seems to offer a promise of rushes of its own.

DEFENSE AGAINST DARK CREATURES

why: Shadows are totally dark creatures, so Minato has definitely had experience in defending against dark things. Hell, he winds up as a male 'barrier maiden' (to use trope-speak) against what is essentially death. But that was in his world, and this is Hogwarts, and he wants to know what is different and what is the same.
