What's going on? Why are my friends mad? And what is this "fandom_counts" thing?  I joined because, hey, I belong to fandoms.  But I have NO clue what's going on.

Anyone? Feel free to rant.

They may have been taking legal advice, and I'd be surprised if they weren't, to be honest. And removing the creepy LJ communities in which they actually did advocate pedophilia and the like are actions which they should have absolutely taken. However, they seemed to not have all cared about this before someone pointed it out to them. And, in trying to cover their butts, they reacted swiftly, without thinking about what kind of chaos they would cause. All I'm saying is that they could have handled this, much, much better. Especially if they had just said something instead of just acting.
