This kind of stuff is what's wrong with our country.

Yeah, I get so sick of the big business incentives because it assumes that the big wigs will invest money in their employees which rarely happens. Lower minimum wage (as proposed by IL candidate for governor Bill Brady) well the companies are more likely to fire a crop of people to hire new people at the new minimum wage. Maybe they will hire more people too so there are fewer hours and benefits to distribute and the company pockets the difference by giving the big wigs huge bonuses for saving the company so much money.

Raise minimum wage and then the company freezes raises for those who are above minimum wage and/or cut hours. It always sucks for those lower on the company "food" chain.

Yeah. It seems like every program that comes out that seems bent on benefiting the lower employees gets taken advantage of by companies to ensure they can put even more money in their pockets and even less in those of the employees. I don't understand why nobody's put bills forward designed to prevent companies from doing that. Force companies to treat their employees better while simultaneously blocking them from taking advantage of the system.

It's simple. The country's been hijacked by big business and special interests. He who throws the biggest bucks around always wins.

It's always been that way. The only difference is that it's gone completely whacked since 2000.

Listen to Sonata Arctica's "Zeroes" from The Days of Grey. Totally true.
