Last night I watched the DVD of "Old Friends," the Simon and Garfunkel stage show. There was a time when they were truly the voice of their generation. From "Wednesday Morning, 3a.m." through "Bridge Over Troubled Water", they sailed an arc more beautiful than any rainbow. Not every song was a classic gem, but the overall oveure was truly great. They were a classic example of 1+1=MUCH more than 2.

You can really tell a difference by watching their Concert in Central Park DVD right before their Bookends... but even though they've been apart and aged, no one could ever do it like Simon and Garfunkel....
