Happy St Patrick's Day!!

Ok so every year with my students I make a big deal about St. Patricks's Day.  I love St. Patrick's Day, not sure why but I do!!!  Well every year I mage Irish Soda Bread and they never eat it but they do try it, I make them (I know I hear Teacher of the Year votes already).  Then every year the leprechaun comes to the school and turns the milk

Isn't St. Patty's day Saturday?

St Patty's Day is on a Saturday but the day that all my students come is on Wednesday that is when I have the highest numbers. I wanted everyone there to enjoy. I had one Indian Family (from India not Native American) come to me today and ask me if we were closed on Friday because of St Patrick's Day. She said because it was such a big holiday and then she asked me what St. Patrick's Day was. I told her that it was not a national holiday like Labor Day. Just a holiday like Valentine's Day! Then I said I wish we were closed on Friday it would be nice :)
