Fic: Time Enough

Aug 11, 2009 22:56

I decided to enter into the Passage of Time challenge for the hpgw_otp community, thinking that I'd be able to bust it out in the 14 combined hours of being on an airplane and traveling. Clearly that didn't work, but I still finished it on the deadline day. Comments and concrit are always welcome and appreciated ( Read more... )

I liked this. You just know his heart was breaking the second time.

One thing to fix: when she turns up at his place, he conjured a butterbeer for her. She picks it up and then you say: Ginny nods over her mug of cocoa

Ahh, thank you for pointing that out. That one somehow got by me, but it's fixed now.

I'm glad you liked this, and you're absolutely right, it was breaking.

Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment!

This is beautiful -- and an absolutely perfect use of the prompt and the whole theme of the challenge. I love the way you point out that time always drags or rushes past for Harry -- it's so true and yet it's something that I never really noticed.

Great job, and I'm glad you were able to squeeze this in before the deadline. :)

I noticed how time played a huge role in the final two books, especially as it pertained to Ginny.

I'm so glad you enjoyed it and thank you so much for your wonderful comment. :)

Awww, this is beautiful. I like the way Ginny lets him down easily each time, and that he understands. I have to admit, though, at the beginning, given your prompt, I was scared something was going to happen to one of them before she could say "yes". I'm glad you didn't go the angsty route, lol.

I never thought about making this angsty - there's enough of that out there already. :)

I'm so glad that you liked this and thanks for taking the time to comment!

Thank you so much for your feedback! It's always flattering for me when authors I enjoy reading, even the newly discovered ones, enjoy what I've written.

I will do my best to write more ASAP, but my challenge lies more in getting the idea than writing it out.

You've created such a beautiful series of moments here. I love the simplicity of it , and you write Harry's pov quite well. i ached right along with Harry--poor thing! After all he's been through, it's like--ten times worse, or something--when he's sad! lol Anyway. I thought it was beautiful, and all very well crafted. Well done. :-)
