Not sure how good of a prompt it is, but every time I get a cold, I crave fic where Jensen's taking care of a sick Jared. There can never be too much of that sort of story, I think. ;)

This is based on a book I read to my son when I put him to bed tonight.

I suck! I started writing this as J2 and then remembered that you wanted Sam/Dean. I'll write you an SPN one to make up for it.

Jared’s difficult to love sometimes. No, seriously, he really is.
“What’cha doing?”
“Writing a poem.”
“A love poem?” Jensen asks, considerably perplexed. Interest spiking he peers over the top of his newspaper in an attempt to try and capture Jared’s attention.
“Kinda. It’s called Ode to a stickleback.”
Jensen plays the role of the longsuffering better half of the J2 double act extremely well. He’s practiced his eye-roll, his amused half-smirk and his yes I am with this goofballmortified facial grimace with such frequency that they’ve all achieved a certain level of perfection ( ... )
