I have a prompt for you, though I'm not sure you'll like it. Could be a big one, so don't feel you have to take it. By all means pass it on to someone else:

I'm thinking of a J2 re-write of Scream - can be any of the three films, I'm not fussed about where you want to begin the story - Jared Padalecki, rather than Sydney Prescott, is being pursued and tormented by his mother's murderer, and Detective Jensen Ackles, instead of Deputy Dewy (and he's a lot more confident and experienced than dear ol'Dewy), is assigned to protect him. Courtney Cox could be Jensen's het bff...
