Big Bang 2012 - POLL

iiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeee I've signed up for Big Bang. I knew I was going to do it and yet I'm still pacing my room muttering "what have I done?"

And so, gentle Flist, I want to tell you now that for Big Bang this year I'm writing a J2 period drama.

I hooked off both YAY! and OMG WHY?

YAY - because I truly LOVE that you are writing original plot again - and that you seem to have found your muse again! This is so great, that you could have written whatever - and I would still have thought YAY!

The OMG WHY? is because personally - I don't like to read historical stories (fics or otherwise) so yeah... I will read this because you write it - but I definitely won't claim it for art... because this is not what I want to make art for. And it would have been so much fun if I accidentlily claimed your story!

But YAY for writing something you are enthusiastic about!

*hugs* Thank you! That really does mean a lot to me.

It's strange because historical J2 isn't something I'd rush to read but I've always loved classics like Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights and I studied those types of books at college. They are something I'm passionate about and I think it's that sort of passion I need to get my muse working again. Doing an original plot scares the beejezus out of me but again, historical J2, is something I'm sure I can craft into a half-decent story...by hook or by crook :)

I first thought period drama? What? Yeah, that's non-native speaking me. ;D But if this means it's historical J2, I at least will give it a try. I like historical novels, but I have a hard time getting into historical J2, but I'll definitely give it a chance, because I love your writing and I'm sure you can pull it off wonderfully. :)

Historical J2 isn't everyone's cup of tea, which is why I'm so nervous about it but it's something I know I will enjoy writing (am enjoying writing since I've already made a start) and anything that can get my muse working has to be a plus for me.

Well, I'm writing D/s, so that's definitely everybody's cup of tea either. :D We can just worry about our fics together. ;)
