My stupid van is stuck at the Beltway Plaza in Greenbelt!
It will not start. that is, the key will not turn. that battery is all good, the ignition lock isn't

When I've had the key not turn in my car, turning the steering wheel solved the problem. That may or may not apply here.

Thanks, but this is definitely a problem of the lock being stripped or something.
I did spend about 30min on saturday playing with the steering column, though. :)

If it's your key cylinder, you're pretty much screwed, as you can *only* go to the dealer to get that done. :-/ But, you may just need a new key!

Either way, you've got to get it towed to the dealer. Do you have AAA?

I already bought the cylinder. And Peter said he'd install it for me. I just have to get the car to him...
