I got two theories on this card problem of yours:

1. It is a heating issue. Buy a GPU heatsink or fan.
2. It is a power supply issue. By Power supply, I mean that little box on the compy that you plug your power cord into. It could be that the PC's power supply isn't sufficient enough for your graphics card. In which case you buy a new, more ample one.
