Apparently I missed something.  Sometime between the last time I posted and now it would seem that something unpleasant happened on Livejournal that resulted in a bunch of jounals being shut down or banned or something along those lines.  Luckily, I was not among the affected (obviously).  If anyone wants to fill me in, let me know in the comments

LJ basically went on an interests witchhunt. They've been getting a lot of pressure from some internet group trying to stop pedophiles, so basically anyone with interests such as incest, rape, abuse, murder, pedophilia, [there were like 20 words/terms in all] go automatically suspended. This included rape and abuse support communities, a lot of various fan fiction communities that dealt with darker subject matters, as well as internet pedophiles. They then issued a statement the next day saying they fucked up royally and that they would be going through each journal/community individually and restoring ones that weren't supporting such causes or asking people to clarify their user info. So it didn't end too horribly but everyone's still pissed it happened and that they don't even care about what's in their community until someone complains. ex) they haven't expunged and other pro-harm communities.
