Adam, you are a very talented writer and musician. I definitly think that you should persue whatever combination allows you to have the best of both worlds and at this point, that seems to be the major in journalism and minor in music...don't cheat yourself or the world. You have two gifts...share them :-)

well i struggle with this one too, because music is such a wonderful part of my life, and i never want to give it up. but i also know that after college, there's not going to be much in the way of choices: unfortunately, there is no "triangle-dinging" available for a tuba player. i feel like i need to play a bigger role in the world than i would devoting my life to some music ensemble in midwest america. you're such a multifaceted person that it's completely understandable for you to feel like this-- and it's for a reason. you have more to give than triangle-dinging.
but that's my opinion.

i definitely think that you should major in journalism...being a materialistic skank like i am would go for the financially secure option...but you love drumming...and a jazz studies minor WOULD fulfil your set playing...and you dont have to be a music major to be a sexy sextet...so yeah...
