I am like 99.9% sure that I am going to change majors. To what? some of you ask. Astronomy! With a math minor, because that is required for a bachelor of science degree. I refuse to acknowledge the bachelor of arts exists. I pretty much have everything mapped out. I have to meet with the adviser again. He will help me figure out what to take and ( Read more... )

Yes, but I dunno how that would work with housing and all that. I mean, I am not going to drive down here and back every day, or how ever often the class(es) meet(s), for class. That would be INSANE!

I had a friend once who inststed on taking 18 units. He said that with 12 units, you tended to have time to fuck around, and inevitably your play time would encroach on your study time. This basically meant he'd push his luck until he ended up failing.

On the other hand, if he knew he was buried under 18 units, he had little choice but to spend most/all of his time on his studies, because failure was that much more imminent. Presumably, this plan worked out better for him.

I tended to do the 16-18 units mainly 'cause I was sick of school and wanted the hell out ... but not without my degree. Never took any summer courses except that one retake of Calculus (bleah!)

Good luck with your choice new major. 17 units is just that one time, right?

Will this ultimately make you a Rocket Scientist? :-)

I am not sure yet. I will know once I meet with the academic adviser again. Hopefully it will be only once. I tried that once, but ended up dropping a class halfway through the semester.

Someone else asked me if that would make me a rocket scientist. Yesterday I think. So, sure, why not? :D
